Dr. Carr is Professor of Psychiatry and Molecular Pharmacology and Biochemistry at the New York University School of Medicine. He is Director of the Postdoctoral Training Program in Drug Abuse Research. Dr. Carr’s laboratory investigates the relationship between CNS mechanisms that regulate ingestive behavior and drug abuse, with a particular interest in neuroadaptations induced by food restriction that increase the reward magnitude of abused drugs and increase vulnerability to binge-eating.
