Errata for Explaining
Psychological Statistics, Second Edition
To determine which printing of the second edition you have, look at the page opposite the dedication page ("For Leona"), which is also the reverse side of the second title page. At the bottom of that page, you will see a sequence of numbers like this: 10 9 8 7 6 5 4; the last number in the sequence is the number of the printing you have (the sequence in this example is for the fourth printing).
If you have printing 5 or 6, please make the changes in the table immediately below. (To avoid having to create subscripts, I have used a notation in which X sub 3 means that X has 3 as a subscript, and X sup 3 means that X has 3 as a superscript). If you have an earlier printing, you should also make these changes and then look for additional errata tables below.
Please send any additional corrections, comments, suggestions, etc., to me at: barry.cohen@nyu.edu.
