Nina Curley   Cognition & Perception What are the behavioral and neural similarities between appetitive and aversive learning?
Katja Doerschner Cognition & Perception What information about the light field does the visual system represent when estimating the color of matte surfaces, and what cues does it use to extract this information from the scene?
Emma Ferneyhough Cognition & Perception How does emotion influence attention and perception?
Jacqueline Fulvio Cognition & Perception How do people fill in the missing portions of objects that are subject to occlusion by camouflage or other objects that vary in their degree of transparency/opacity?
Elon Gaffin-Cahn Cognition & Perception Our motor system is noisy, and sometimes our motor actions don't match up with our initial goal. When that happens, we have a fundamental issue to solve if we want to avoid making the same mistake: Was the error simply due to natural random noise in the motor output, or is there some internal miscalibration or systematic environmental shift that we should account for in future attempts? My research focuses on how we use visual information to solve this problem and how our motor system adapts in the face of errors.
