Study: Search Strategies

You will be asked to view images on a computer screen and press a button in response to a target. The study will take approximately one hour. You will be paid $10 for your participation.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be fluent in English (spoken for at least 10 years)
Must have normal or corrected to normal vision
Must have normal color vision
Study: Learning and Memory

You will be asked to view colored slides on a computer screen, and complete several questionnaires. Additionally, you will be asked to have your skin conductance response recorded and receive mild electric shocks to the wrist, which are aversive, but not painful. The study involves three sessions each approximately 1 hour. Depending on the data you might be able to participate in only one session. You will be compensated $15 for each session ($45 for completing).
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be fluent in English (spoken for at least 10 years)
Must NOT have done an aversive conditioning (shock) study with visual stimuli (shapes, faces, or any other images) in the past six months.
Study: Emotional Learning & Regulation

You will be asked to view images on a computer screen and complete several questionnaires. Additionally, you will be asked to have your skin conductance response recorded and occasionally receive mild electric shocks to the wrist, which are aversive, but not painful. You may also undergo an additional (mild to moderate) stressor and provide us with salivary samples at different points throughout the experiment for assessment of stress hormones. This study requires you to come in on two consecutive days for 45min each day. You will compensated $30 after the second session.

Must NOT have done an aversive conditioning (shock) study in the past --- months.
Must NOT be pregnant
Must NOT be currently taking any anti-depressant or anti-anxiety medication
Study: Decision Making about Monetary Rewards

In this study, you will do one computer task, during
which you will make choices about money. You will also complete a few
brief questionnaires. We will collect eye movement data while you are
completing the computer task.
The study will take approximately one hour. You will be paid $10 for
your participation, and you may also be paid up to $90 more depending
on your monetary decisions during the computer task.
You must be 18 or over to participate, and must not take
any psychiatric or neurological medications. You must also have normal
or corrected-to-normal vision.
Study: Individual Differences In Jury Decision-Making

Go through computer simulation of an actual trial. Read and listen to descriptions and arguments articulated by actual attorneys during the trial and make decisions regarding guilt or innocence of the defendant. Respond to various questionnaires and perform speeded reaction time tests. The study will take 2.5 hour of your time and you will be compensated $25.
Normal or corrected to normal vision. Must be at least 18 years old.
