I have been an adjunct faculty member at New York University since 1991. My area of specialization is in clinical neuropsychology. I have a wide range of clinical experience, including: traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer's disease, seizure disorders, stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and spinal cord injury. Past clinical research experience has been primarily in the areas of traumatic brain injury, seizure disorders, and functional brain mapping with cortical stimulation. I currently conduct research in the Department of Anesthesiology at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where I study the cognitive sequelae of cardiopulmonary bypass and neuroprotective strategies for cardiothoracic surgery, such as deep hypothermic circulatory arrest and retrograde cerebral perfusion. I also hold the position of staff neuropsychologist at Phelps Hospital in North Tarrytown.
